We had our daughter's rehearsal dinner for 80 people at Van Aukens. They were very accommodating. Changed the color of the tablecloths in the dinning room for us. We had cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the balcony. Chef John made sure everyone's food was amazing. We had an ice cream bar in Stetson's Bar after dinner. And of course the music in the Speakeasy was fantastic. Better then anything you'd hear in Brooklyn. Plus the groom and his buddies had a whiskey tasting.
The family that runs this establishment has done a great job. Been coming here since i was a kid. The staff is hospitable and kind, the porch is wonderful for drinks on a summers eve, and the speakeasy is a true gem (great live music). Come early for the clam bake because they sell out quick! Will be coming back for years to come.
The groomsmen stayed at the Inn and the rooms were all great.
Awesome place to visit, many thanks to Andrew Moore and staff! I loved sitting outside on the front porch, very relaxing!
The Moore Family has turned this into a very exceptional gem, one of a kind. Rooms, staff, food, all great. But, you might want to schedule your stay for when the Moore Family is there. This family is all about entertainment, and they're real good at it.
Worse place I've eaten in a long time. Waitress was an idiot. Food was absolutely terrible. They lacked everything needed for a restaurant. It's a place that skimps on everything so then can pocket the profits. SHUT DOWN
